“As Christians, we go to the very place everyone else is trying to avoid.”

From Sweet Home Church of Christ Holiness in Pearl, Mississippi to Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, CA, Albert Tate is a gifted and dynamic communicator who is passionate about sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with the local and global church. His unique style of communication combines inspiration and challenge with laughter and tears as people in all stages of life are engaged at their core.

Albert is the founder and lead pastor of Fellowship Monrovia, a Gospel-Centered, Multi-Ethnic and Intergenerational church in Monrovia, CA. After hearing Gods call in January 2012, his vision is to cultivate a community of disciples who live out the gospel by growing in a life of worship, gathering in community and giving their lives away on mission.

Albert serves on the Board of Trustees at Azusa Pacific University & Fuller Youth Institute. He is invited to speak across the country in academic settings, conferences and retreats combining humor with storytelling to communicate God’s amazing love. He is an author whose work was recently published in Letters to a Birmingham Jail: A Response to the Words and Dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Albert is married to the love of his life LaRosa Tate who he calls, “God’s gift of amazing grace in his life” – together they have four beautiful children Zoe, Bethan, Isaac and Micah.
